We have the honor of sharing the Hospital with a number of wonderful friends...
Bubba, a purebred Rottweiler, was abandoned at the boarding kennel next door. When they closed their business we adopted Bubba. He passed on March 17, 2009, surrounded by the love of his devoted friends.
Captain Hook is three years old. We adopted her from DuPage County Animal Control, in hopes of placing her in a loving home. She suffered a herpes infection as a kitten which permanently altered the look of her eyes. After a year at GAH, we made her a permanent resident.
Lucy was adopted Lucy from DuPage County along with Ethel after losing our first ferret to cancer. Lucy was a joy to all who know her; Rain, our newest hospital cat, was especially fond of her - the two played for hours on end. Lucy died in December of 2011.

Fred came to GAH from New York City in 1998. You could usually find Fred in his basket at the front desk, catching a well-deserved nap. Fred passed on July 15, 2009, he was seventeen.

George was adopted from GAH as a kitten. His owner died and George was returned to us last year. He is currently eleven years old.
Rocky was eleven and had been with GAH for nine of his years. He had a urinary tract obstruction and his owners could not afford his care. In October 2008, he was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer, and passed in January of 2009. We are grateful for every day we shared with him.
Saugatuck was found by Dr. Civello in 1995, wandering through a marina in Saugatuck, Michigan and heavy with kittens. Sailing back to Illinois, she began labor in the cockpit of Dr. C's boat, and gave birth to five healthy kittens. She was adopted but returned due to diabetic complications. She always believed (correctly) that she owned the hospital. She passed in December of 2011 from kidney failure.
Mufasa was twelve years old and lived his entire life with us, at the hospital, after two failed adoptions (he never grasped the concept of the litter box). Mufasa passed in November of 2010.
Swisher came to us from Dr. Carlo, a former associate vet. He lived to the old age of nineteen. Despite the fact that he had no teeth and a chronic bowel condition he enjoyed a quiet life at the hospital. Swisher passed on May 25, 2009.
Bubba Cat was left at GAH at three years old, when his owner was unable to afford treatment for his urinary obstruction. His next owner was unable to keep him due to allergies, so we gladly took him in. Bubba passed in 2011.
Slytherin, an albino corn snake, is four years old. He has been with us for one year and has tripled in size during this time. He has shown us the warm heart of a cold-blooded reptile.
Cherry and Fudge were the hospital's resident guinea pigs. They both passed in December 2011.
Some of our beloved animals have crossed the Rainbow Bridge. We remember them here with love...
Many of you have enjoyed seeing Rotini, the gray and white cat, in the Reception area, perhaps in a basket or looking out the door. She's also fond of snuggling on someone's lap or coat. She came to us in 2006 as a kitten with chronic diarrhea. She stayed and participated in the Texas A & M gastrointestinal study. Rotini is now a permanent member of GAH and as official "greeter" to our clients.
Miss Polly has had a rough start in life. She was found on the street after being attacked by a large dog. She's been such a trooper - after all she's been through, she's affectionate and always ready for attention.
Lexi is our most recent addition. She was brought to GAH after her owner was no longer able to care for her. She is our little grey ghost - very shy, but once she warms up to you she is all purrs.

Ethel was adopted from the DuPage County shelter along with Lucy. Ethel died of lymphoma in November of 2009 after a long and valiant fight.
Rain came to us in Fall of 2009, a tiny bedraggled kitten. She was born with a severe inner ear infection in both ears. She has since been on the mend and we are proud to add her to the prestigious ranks of Glendale's cat population!
